Mother Neff State Park Nature Run

We are back!  Join us for our 3rd annual 5K competitive trail run or our 2nd annual 2 mile fun run/walk in the beautiful Mother Neff State Park. We are adding an option for a virtual run this year as well. 

We will have 2 in-person runs. The first will be one for the competitive racers. It will be a chip-timed race on a challenging 5K course through the park trails.   Like many trail runs, this comes with some challenging terrain. 

START TIMES:

8:30am - Competitive 5K

2PM - Family Fun Run

The second run will be for families and those who want to spend more time enjoying the beauty of this amazing park. 

We are adding an additional virtual option this year also.  With this option you can run/walk either distance (5K or 2mile) anywhere.  You can even visit the park on a day other than race day to run the same routes.  A race map will be provided on the registration page. You will have a two week opening to do your run.  You will receive a virtual bib number when you sign up and use this to submit your times on our results page.   A certificate will be awarded when this is complete.  Don't forget you will also receive the awesome performance t-shirt and commemorative medal in the mail or you can pick up from the park!

All registered competitive 5K runners will receive an awesome wooden commemorative woodallion and a sweet performance t shirt (register by Feb. 10th) along with other swag items. There will be awards for the overall male and female winners.  Top 3 male and female winners in each age group will receive medals also.  Age groups will include: 14 & Under; 15-19; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60+

Everyone participating in the 2 mile race will receive a nice performance t-shirt (register early by Feb. 10) and an awesome commemorative woodallion as well as other swag items.  

There are only 150 spots for the competitive race and another 150 spots for the scenic run due to parking constraints. 

Packet pickup will be on Friday at the park from 12pm till 5pm and race day starting at 730am! 

There is no race day sign up so be sure to sign up online!  

Proceeds go to Mother Neff State Park Association to add activities and structures to the park for all visitors to enjoy.   

COVID POLICIES AND GUIDLINES:

All participants must wear a mask to the starting line and adhere to the social distancing rule of 6ft. (You may take off your mask when you start the race) We will have an open start so there will be not crowding at the start.  You time will start when you cross the starting line.  Results will be based off of chip time.  Be sure to sign up for the texting results option so you receive your results on your phone as soon as you cross the finish line.  When you finish the race, please do not congregate and return to your vehicle as soon as possible. 

Awards will be given out when the last individual crosses the line or at 9:45am.  Check the results at this time to see if you qualify.  If you do, please come to the park headquarters to pick up your award.
